Brett Huffman - PhD Candidate: Explainability

Hi - I'm Brett Huffman

I am currently a PhD candidate at University of Missouri, St. Louis. I am advised by Dr. Badri Adhikari investigating Machine Learning and it's application to our world. We are working on some truly amazing projects.

In my past life, I specialize in Software Development and had the opportunity to work with many high-technology companies on many great, cutting-edge projects.

MY BACKGROUND

Being a hands-on leader has always been my specialty. I have both formal degrees in Computer Science and specialty certifications in Microsoft and Apple development.

In time, I realized that I wanted to give back to the development community that has treated me so well. My next dream is to be a College Professor and Researcher helping the next generation of professionals get ready for the IT demands of the 2020's and 2030's.

Besides bringing great technology to life, my passions are playing the guitar, working on old cars, and trail running.

I will always watch the movies Patton and The African Queen, no matter how many times I have seen them before.
